I am an LMFT and Registered Art Therapist. I work collaboratively with clients to help them identify and connect to personal values. My goal is to guide individuals through reframing stories and beliefs in order to pivot towards what its truly important to them. I utilize my trauma-informed background to aid clients in recognizing the difference between feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. I strive to create a supportive, open and safe environment in which clients feel free of judgement. In sessions I am warm, casual, and conversational.
I use Art Therapy to connect and as an alternative mode of expression. I believe the use of expressive arts can greatly aid us in processing thoughts and emotions as well as accessing parts of ourselves that we might struggle to put into words. Clients have said the art they complete in session helps them gain a new perspective which they did not believe achievable from talk therapy alone. While I offer the use of Art Therapy to all clients, willingness to participate in art is not a requirement to work with me.
